Kia ora and welcome
From Monday, 20 November 2017 to Wednesday, 22 November 2017 the Institute, in collaboration with the New Zealand Treasury, will host a three-day workshop. The aim is to explore what a preferred future might look like for iwi and hapū in a post-Treaty settlement New Zealand.
The workshop will host 36 participants aged 18–25 who identify with specific iwi or hapū, or as urban Māori.
Registrations for the workshop will open in early August 2017; we will also formally invite iwi and hapū to put forward candidates at this time. Please keep checking back here to learn more about ways to participate. At this stage, six of the participants will be interns from previous Institute workshops. Carwyn Jones and Wendy McGuinness will be the two workshop facilitators.
Finale and Outputs
This workshop will produce a booklet and a finale presentation. The finale will be held at Parliament on the evening of Wednesday 22 November and will be open to the public. If you are interested in attending this event please register here and we will send you a formal invitation closer to the time.
